C.J.C. CUP MEETING. RICCARTON TRACK; WORK. Christchurch. Nov. 4. The conditions were perfect at Ricca r ton for training work. The outside of the course proper was in good order. Moorland and Winkle’s Best went five furlongs, doing the distance in 1.3 3-5. Mireusonta left five furlongs behind in 1.3. Boadicea. with Ophir over the last part, did ’seven furlongs in 1.31. Wild Hind and Firestick galloped seven furlongs in 1.31 3-5. Gold Light just beat Sunart, with Musketoon three lengths away, over a mile and a quarter in 2.14 2-5. Retrospect, brought home by Hungry Hill, covered j nine furlongs in 2.3 1-5. Palestrina land Tresham did a similar distance, taking 2mins. Te Anau Lad beat Dazzling Right over seven furlongs in 1.31 2-5. Cyrene and Victory Bond left four furlongs behind in 51 secs. Deucalion, brought home by ’Frisco Mail, did a mile and a quarter in 2.17 2-5, i after a slow start. Footfall beat Stari mist over a mile done in 1.46. Clarinda i beat Clandhu over six furlongs, run 'in 1.17 2-5. Tarleton, with a light weight up. went a mile and a quarter alone, doing the distance in 2.13 and finishing well. Kukume was a neck in front of Lucinette, with Dame Straitlace three lengths away, at the end of nine furlongs done in 1.59 2-5. Avola galloped half a mile in 51 2-5 secs. Suggestion beat Kalakaua and Agitato over a mile in 1.47. Murijiaupo galloped six furlongs in 1.17 2-5. Tukia loft nvo furlongs behind in 1.3. Bonogne beat Rouex over five furlongs in 1.4 3-5. Giantkiller beat Red Wink over seven furlongs, the distance being accomplished in 1.32 4-5. Limelight did a mile and a quarter in 2.15 after a slow start. Count Cavour and Prince Ferouz were together at the end of a milo, run in 1.47 1-5. Reremoana and The Banker galloped half a mile in 50 secs. Enthusiasm, with a big weight up covered a mile in 1.45, finishing well. Carpentier did a mile in 1.46 3-5, with Relic and Mudlark ns mates oyer the last five furlongs. THE JUMPERS. Red Kriss jumped four hurdles. It was only a fair display. Le Korte was better than Grim Joke over four hurdles. ARRIVALS. Last night’s arrivals from the south were:—Bonnie Winkle, Kulman, Comic Song, Roman Archer, Overdrawn, Mantua and Clarenceux and Marquies, two-year-olds. The Dunedin-owned pair, Lougjirea and Circulation, arrived from the north this morning, also Kuhio. Ilka, Otaura, Pool’s Paradise, Royal Divorce, Dubious, Ma Boughal and Tanadees. STEWARDS’ ACCEPTANCE LIST. ROYAL BLOOD’S OMISSION. Auckland, Nov. 4. Surprise has been expressed at the omission of Royal Blood from the acceptances for th© Stewards’ Handicap. The owner, Mr. Scholium, states that h© instructed the O.J.U. by telegram on October 24 to accept Royal Blood for all engagements, and was of opinion that this covered the final payment due last night.
