ESCAPEES RECAPTURED.
A LONG TRAMP. (Per Press Association.) Taihape, Nov. 1. I The two prisoners, Dale and Wigg, who escaped from Waikune prison camp, near Erua, on Monday, were recaptured by Constables. Grant and Thompson, of Mangaweka and Hunterville, yesterday evening. The prisoners had reached the Kawhotau district and the back of Mangaweka, and had travelled about eighty miles since leaving the prison camp. I The escapees were brought to Taihape and lodged in the lock-up, and will appear before a justice of the {peace to-day.
