DUKE AND DUCHESS.

MAY VISIT AUSTRALA. TO OPEN NEW~PARLIAMENT. London, Oct. 22. The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted at the suggestion that they will be invited to open the first Federal Parliament at Canberra. They state that until the date is fixed it is impossible to say whether they will be able to visit Australia. The Duchess of York, bringing to a conclusion the activities of the women’s section at Wembley, held a reception attended by 400 Dominion visitors, including Sir Littleton and Lady Groom, the New Zealand High Commissioner (Sir James Allen) and Lady Allen, Lady Cook, the wives of the Dominion Agents-General. and the staffs of the Australian pavilions.
