WHEAT PRODUCTION.

WORLD POSITION UNFAVOURABLE. (Received 3, 9.25 a.m.) London, Nov. 2. The International Institute of Agriculture at Rome reports that the position of the world’s wheat crop i 8 far from favourable. It estimates that 494,000,000 centals will be available for export for the 1924-25 season, ahd estimates the requirements at 485.000,000. It adds that supplies during recent years largely exceed probable requirements. While there was no anxiety yet there was a possibility of the Australian and Argentine crops not reaching the forecast. Then there would be a danger of upsetting the equilibrium. Russia wotilri not have much available for export, and the new crops in several European countries are of poor quality—Sydney “Sun” cable).
