SLIPS IN RIMUTAKAS. ROAD AND RAILWAY BLOCKED. Wellington, Nov. 1. Heavy rain during the last two days caused slips on the roads and the railway. both routes to the Wairarapa being blocked. The mail train for Wairarapa this morning was detained consequent on a slip near Kaitoke. but it is hoped to get through this afterReigarding the roads, the Public Works Department hopes that th e main one on the Munagroa hill will be cleared for traffic to go through to-day. A portion of the Taita Gorge road has been washed out and minor slips are reported.
