BENNALA FARM MURDER.
SLAYING OF MISS ENWRIGHT. (Received 11, 9.55 a.m.) Sydney, Sept. 11. Miss Enwright was last seen alive on ' July 27th, when, after a visit to j Yackdandah, she was drivep by a 1 neighbour to within 100 yards of her I house. When neighbours forced an en- | trance to the house they found the bed unmade and clothes usually worn by Miss Enwright when away from home in . the room. I The farm was badly neglected, and ; it is hot thought possible the unfor- ! tunate woman could have possessed much means. Tho police are endeavouring to find the person who was seen speaking to the woman jjn July 1 27th. Tho fact that Miss Enwright met 1 ber death by foul play is proved beyond doubt. At the inqtiest medical evidence disclosed two bullet wounds in the head. Portions of flattened bullets of small calibre were entangled in her ■ hair. The indications are that she was shot from a considerable distance. Apparently she had been dead several weeks. Deceased inherited a farm of 293 acres from her father and had lived a lonely life since the death of her mother twelve years ago. Rumours were current that she kept a large sum of money in the house, which had been ransacked, apparently at the time of the tragedy.
