The return of postal and telegraph revenue for the quarter ended March 31 last shows an increase of approximately £46,366 over the corresponding period of last year. The total postal revenue amounted to £328,527 as against £374,724 for the first quarter last year, the decrease of £46,000 odd being probably due largely to the reversion to penny postage.
