Beard, Bullen and Co.’s i market sale on Saturday there was a big attendance and prices generally were fully maintained. Dairy cows that came forward w r ere old and poor . conditioned and realised prices in keeping with their appearance. Two good cows that were advertised were not yarded, being too near calving, but are now for private sale. The following prices were realised:— Poultry: Prime fat hens to 6/-, laying hens 5/8. 8.0, pullets 16/- to 2i/-. W. Leghorn 15/- to 18/-, S. Wyandottes 15/-, Minorcas 17/-. cockerels 5/6, ducks 5/8, drakes 5/2, Aluscovey ducks 10/-. roosters 5/-, all at per pair. Pigs and dairy stock: Prime porkers to 48/-, medium 38/- to 42/-, stores 29/6, slips 23/-. weaners 15/-; cows, £2 15/- ! £2 7/6, £2 5/-. £1 12/6. £1 10/-, and i 20/-. Fruit, produce and sundries: Apples to 4/-, pears 3/6, quiuces 3/-, I tomatoes 3/6. all at per half-case; potatoes 3/- tin, carrots 2/- dozen, rock melons 6/- to 12/-, water melons 12/-. pie melons 12/-. pumpkins 9/-, marrows 1/- all at per dozen. I Alessrs. T. Cunningham and Co. report having offered an excellent yarding of dairy stock, 60 pigs and a fair penning of poultry at their market sale on Saturday last. Weaner pigs 8/- lor small to 12/- for good, slips up to 21/-, weaner boars and sows 30/-. Current prices are as follows: —Apples: Cox’s 7/6 to 10/6. Jonathans 6/6 to 8/6. Dunns Favourite 4/- to 6/-. Pears: Winter Coles fancy 7/- to 10/-, spot 4/- to 6/-, Capiamont 6/- to 8/-, Clairgeau 5/- to 7/6, peaches 5/ -to 8/-.
