FROZEN MEAT TRADE.

ARGENTINE COMPETITION WITH NEW ZEALAND. London, March 11. Mr. H. T. B. Drew, director of publicity in New Zealand, lecturing in London, referred to the increasing Argentine competition with Australian and New Zealand mutton and lamb. He added that the Argentine, if it had not actually destroyed the Australian and New Zealand beef trade, had effectively stopped its extension. Yet as far as reciprocal trade went, the Argentine purchased £30,000,000 worth of British goods in 1922 and Australia and New Zealand £83,000,000. He urged a larger measure of reciprocity. —(Sydney “Sun” cable.)
