1 Cycling records in Australia are pipping. At Broken Hill Jack Fitzgerald pedalled over a mile and a half in 2min 58 1-5 sec, a time which is claimed as an Australian record, beating his previous record at Melbourne in 1922 by 1 4-ssec i In a club cycling race in Melbourne. Dick Ford, one of scratch men, did 50 miles in 2hr 7min 32sec, which broke the Victorian and Australian professional record of 2hr Bmin ssec made by Jack Beasley last August. Ford did not enter for the Warrnambool event.
