NEW SOUTH WALES POLITICS.
ANOTHER GOVERNMENT DEFEATSydney, Nov. 16. In the New South Wales Assembly the Government was defeated for the third time this session by one vote on a formal motion on the local government estimates. The Ministry is now unable to carry on unless the House reverses the vote. The Premier stated that he fully realised the serious nature of the position and would give the House of chance of affirming the vote on Tuesday until when the House adjourned. The position arose through one Nationalist voting with the Opposition and a number of others being absent from the chamber. GOVERNMENT URGED TO RESIGN(Received 17, 11.30 a.m.) Sydney, Nov. 17. Sections of the press assert that Sir George Fuller should tender his resignation rather than submit to intermitten t reverses and rebuffs from the Countrj Party. Political opinion is hardening in the dierction that a way out will be found on Tuesday by the Government again submitting the local government estimates, giving satisfactory assur ances respecting the farming appraise ments of the Valuer-General. —(A. ano N.Z.)
