Taxi-Cab Murder
Another London Tragedy YOUNC WIDOW FOUND DEAD. A MAN DETAINED. [By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.] London, Nov. 15. A taxi-cab murder in London was revealed last night when a man drove to the Fulham police station and mad,e a statement, whereupon the police found a woman inside a taxi dead with her throat cut and a razor near the body. The woman is Ethel also known as Ethel Ireland, a widow, with two children, a girl of eight and a boy of five. She lived at Shepherd’s Bush. One report states that sne came from New Zealand two years ago and another states from Australia, where her husband died. She was a handsome woman, aged 30. The man detained is George Iggulden, aged 25, with no fixed employment since being demobilised. The couple were to have been married at a registry office to-day. They met yesterday and had tea in the neighbourrood of Piccadilly, and afterwards drove off in a taxicab,—(A. and N.Z.)
