ADVERTISING CONVENTION.
AN EDUCATION SCHEME. (Received 16, 12.30 p.m.) Hobart, Nov. 16. The Advertising Convention is being continued at Launceston., It was decided to draw the attention of the vigilance committee to the discrepancy between the prices of proprietary medicines as advertised and when sold over the counter. The convention adopted an educational scheme submitted by Air. L. H. Williams, of Victoria, advocating a course of study to be decided by a Federal education board to consist of three members. After not less than three years ’experience in advertising, a member passing an examination will receive a diploma and be known as an Associate in Advertising and after four years as a Fellow, for which seven years’ experience is essential.
