At a meeting of Hastings carriers held this afternoon it was unanimously resolved that as the Avenue, road stand was detrimental to their business they would not go there, but would occupy the Railway road stand, and that two carriers be placed on the Russell street stand, opposite tanks; and that application be made to the Council to transfer the telephone to the Railway road stand, and the Council bo reminded of its promise to erect a shelter shed there.
