LAUSANNE ASSASSINATION.
CONRADI-POLINNINE TRIAL. SWISS INTERESTS AT STAKE. Lausanne, Nov. 14. The Attorney-General, in concluding the case for Switzerland in the trial of Conradi and Polinnine, demanded n verdict of guilty against both, declaring that Switzerland must not become a refuge for assassins to escape punishment. Switzerland feared that if the accused were acquitted foreign diplomats and bodies like tfie Leagub of Nations would leave the country for surer ground. Admitting the provocation Conradi received, he pointed out that the minimum sentence could be inflicted.—(A, and N.Z.)
