MELBOURNE POLICE STRIKE.

APPEAL FOR REINSTATEMENT.

(Received 15. 12.55 p.m.) Melbourne, November 15. A large number of police strikers attended at the Police Association rooms and agreed to a resolution passed by th© Council of the Association that they detach themselves from the Trades Hall and place themselves unreservedly in the hands of the Government.

A meeting of Anglican clergymen adopted a resolution that, while not wishing to palliate the gravity of the offence of the police strikers, they believed the Ministry should reopen the question of reinstating th© men without discrimination.
