The committee appointed by the Treasury to enquire into tobacco-grow-ing in Great Britain'report that though a limited number of agriculturists might benefit from a measure of assistance to the tobacco-growing industry, it does not recommend any further expenditure of public funds beyond the help already given by Imperial preference.

A strange feature is that a brother aged 18 committed suicide in the same v’ay in the same shed 18 months ago.
