HOSPITAL SEVERANCE.

WAIPUKURAU AND DANNEVIRKE The proposed severance of the Waipukurau and Dannevirke hospitals and the creation of separate districts, was advanced a further stag© at th© meeting of the Waipawa Hospital Board at Waipukurau yesterday. The movement is the result of a general recognition of absence of community of interest between the two ends of the existing district. A draft of th© petition was submitted fixing the counties as the boundaries—Dannevirke district to include the counties oj Dannevirke, Weber and Woodville, and the boroughs of Dannevirke and Woodville, and Waipukurau district to embrace tlu* counties of Patangata, Waipawa and Waipulnirau and boroughs of Waipawa and Waipukurau. Th© draft was approved with the addition of “or other suitable boundaries to bo arranged,” and the petition is to he presented to ( the local bodies for signature.
