UNITARIAN CHURCH.
DOMINION CONFERENCE
CLOSER RELATIONS WITH AUSTRALIA. Wellington, Nov. 14. A conference of representatives of Unitarian churches in New Zealand is being held here, the president of the united churches, Mr J. M. Geddis, presiding. The preesident urged greater unity, organisation and activity and expressed the hope that the day was near at hand when they would celebrate tho foundation of a Unitarian Association of Australia and New Zealand and be brought by its agency into more intimate fellowship. It was resolved that the conference heartily reciprocates tho greetings and good wishes expressed by Unitarians in Australia, and records the opinion that closer solidarity and pen odical conferences would be :n the best interests of unitarianism in the Southern Hemisphere. It was decided to co-operate in the proposal to send a travelling missionary to Unitarian churches among Eng-lish-speaking people overseas at least once every three years. A resolution favouring settlement of international disputes by arbitration was passed, and also advocating the recital of the Lord’s Prayer at the opening of school work and* the reading of suitable selected passages from Scripture. Mr T. Mackay (Auckland) was elected president, and Mr A. M. Patterson (Timaru) and Mr J. M. Geddis (Wellington), and H. W. King (Auckland) vice-presidents.
