Anderson (Palmerston North), 10.10- Anderson looked insignificant beside his huge opponent and had no chance on account of the difference in the weights. Anderson cleverly eluded the big man’s holds, but succumbed to a. test of strength on the mat. ' Robin secured the first fall in six minutes and the second fall in nine minutes ten seconds. In an amateur lightweight contest McDonald (Turakina) defeated Kara (Hawke’s Bay) in three falls. Davidson (Waipawa) defeated Dixon (Turakina), one fall in five bouts.
