HASTINGS WEST SCHOOL.
QUEEN CARNIVAL. The sixth count of the Hastings West School Queen Carnival was held in the schoolroom last evening, when the following were the results: — Ruby Fitzpatrick 820 Jean Small 649 Edith Baird 642 Mary McCaw 617 Molly Irwin 587 Hazel Tyers 475 Margaret Porter 452 The final count will take place at the schoolhouse on Wednesday,-Bth August, and the next count will take place next Tuesday evening. The pnqtographs of the* candidates are on view in Sutherland and Mitchell’s and Baird and Co.’s’ windows.
