COLD FEVER IN NEWFOUNDLAND.

PREPARING FOR RUSH TO LABRADOR. Toronto. March 28. There are many evidences that there will be a gold rusk to Labrador in the spring. Varums companies represented by interests in Boston, Montreal, Halifax, and Sc. John's. Newfoundland, are m couise of organisation, it is stated that two development companies have already registered thou sands ot acres of land along the three rivers howing into Stag Bay. Mr. W. N. Macdonald shipowner and an enterprising speculator of Sydney, has entered into agreement with certain companies to handle the transportation ot passengers and supplies to Stag Bay when the ice goes out. Altogether he will have ten ships tor the Labrador service. They consfet of two steel freighters, five small coastal freighters, and two or three termer Government cutters. 2UO tons each. Al an y fishermen are getting gold fever., and it is believed that Stag bay will be a second Klondvke. As yet there is no evidence to justify these extravagant expectations.
