In accordance with Section 43 of “The Education Act, 1914,” notice is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay Education Board has appointed MONDAY, the 23rd. day of APRIL, 1923, as the day on which the Annual Meetings of Householders will be held for the Election of Committees for the ensuing year. The hour of meeting will be 8 o’clock in the evening, and the place of meeting will be in the Schoolhouse in each district, except Greenmeadow's, where the place of meeting will be in the Taradale School, and Wairoa, where the place of meeting will be St. Andrew’s Hall.

The Householders within the several School Districts are hereby called upon to send in writing by post or delivery so as to be delivered to the respective chairman of the several school committees not later than eight o’clock in the evening of MONDAY, APRIL 16, 1923, the names of persons, being householders, nominated by them for Election to serve upon the committee for the year ensuing. In the case of schools having an average attendance exceeding 120 for 1922. no nomination for the committee will be valid if received by the respective chairman after the last-mentioned time and date. In the case of schools having an average attendance not exceeding 120 for 1922. Nominations may, as provided by the Education Act, 1914, be made at the annual meeting of householders. For the election of committees for the following schools, Nominations are to be made to the gentlemen named:— Hangaroa (Gisborne): Mr. S. E. Gillingham. Wallace’s Crossing: Mr. N. P. Wallace.
