The Hawke’s Bay stockbrokers report having held their weekly sale at Waipukurau yesterday, when a good ! yarding of both sheep and cattle was offered to a good attendance. Cattle met with fairly keen competition, and most lots were disposed of under the hamer. Breeding ewes sold at prices slightly better than recent sales, whilst lambs were fairly hard to quit. On the whole, the market showed a better tone.
