PARKVALE SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Parkvale School Committee was held on Monday evening. Present: Messrs Vyner (chair), Giorgi, Paynter, Steer, Hodgkinson, Mcßean and Mrs Hill. The headmaster’s report showed 320 on the roll, with an average attendance of 96 per cent. Mr. Wimsett. the new first assistant, 1 had commenced his duties. The two additional rooms now being built are' nearing competition, and it was decided that, when ready, for use, an official opening would be held. Further consideration of the matter of entrance gates was adjourned for a special meeting to be held at 7 p.m. on the 12th inst.

Messrs Hodgkinson and Mcßean were appointed a visiting committee for the month.
