EGYPTIAN TREASURES.
FINDS IN TUTANKHANEM’S TOMB (Received 8, 12.5 p.m.) London, Jan. 6. “The Times’ ” Luxor correspondent reports that four alabaster vases, proclaimed as the most perfect in the world, have been removed from Tutankhanem’s tomb, and the king’s throne has been brought out. Though swathed in linen it is discernible that the woodwork is finely carved and the arms and legs are covered with beaten gold, while the sunlight is reflected from semi-precious stones.—(Times.)
