IVOTICE IS HEREBY ‘GIVEN that KENNETH CAMPBELL, of Southland Road, Hastings, has been appointed Registrar of Dogs, under “The Dogs Registration Act, 1908,” for the Hawke’s Bay County for the year ending Deecmber 31, 1923, and every registration made by the aforesaid Kenneth Campbell during the year 1923, shall be deemed to be in force until January Ist. 1924, and no longer. x Tlu? amount of the Registration Fee for dogs has been fixed as follows:— Sheep and Cattle Dogs-(kept solely for the purpose of herding or driving sheep or cattle) Two Shilling's and Sixpence (2/6) each. Rabbit Dogs kept in packs of not less than three (kept solely for the purpose of destroying rabbits) Two Shillings (2/-) each. All other dogs Five Shillings (5/-) each. The Registration Book can be seen at the aforesaid place, which has been fixed as the Registration Office at which Dogs within the Hawke’s Ray County are to be registered. Dogs without collars having the proper Registration Labels thereon, shall, prima facie, be deemecl to be unregistered, and the Registrar is duly authorised to destroy such dogs. A. H. TVOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the above Board, to be holden in the office of the Board, Browning Street, Napier, on TUESDAY, the 23rd JANUARY, 1923, at the hour of two in the aftednoon, it is the Board’s intention to make and levy a general rate on al! ratable property within the Omarunui Drainage Board District, and that such rate will be levied on a graduated scale made in accordance with Sections 32 to 35 of “The Land Drainage Act, 1908.” This is to say all ratable property classified under Section 33 Clause A one penny and one half* of a penny for every pound of capital value. All ratable property classified under Section 33 Clause B, three-fourths of a penny Jot every pound of capital value. Ail ratable property classified under Section 33 Clause C, one halfpenny for every pound of capital value. The said rate to be for the year begun on the . Ist day of April, 1922, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1923. and to be payable in one amount on the Ist day of February at the office of the said Board in Browning Street, Napier. On and after the date of this Notice the Valuation Roll for the said District will be open for inspection at the said office during office hours, that is to say, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on all week days except Saturday.
