BRITISH COMMISSION IN AMERICA.

(Received 5, 10.10 a.m.) New Y°rk, Jan. 4. The British Debt Commission arrived in the Majestic and were welcomed by. the British Consul-General and the Assistant Secretary of the United States Treasury.

Mr. Baldwin declared: “If we can come to an agreement it will be a quick one.”

The return passage has been booked for January 20. The party left immediately for Washington.—(A. and N.Z.)
