CARPENTIER AND SIKI. (Received 11, 11.40 a.m.) London. Dec. 10. Carpentier, in an interview, stoutly denied that there was anything crooked about his fight with Siki. He added : “I lost through ovor-confidence and lack of physical fitness. 1 feel no illwill to Siki, and am sorry fo A him because his irresponsibility has shut him out for good from w'ell-or-dered sport. A most rigorous inquin is being held into M. Daignes’s allegations. I await the result without misgiving. I am only troubled owing to my small chance of meeting Siki again.”—(A. and N.Z.) NAPIER TOURNEY TO-NIGHT. The Napier Municipal Theatre should be filled to overflowing this evening to witness the great “go” between Paul Demsky, the “Russian Terror,” and Stewart Smith, the “K.O.
