HERETAUNGA ANGLERS’ CLUB.

The annual meeting of the above club was held in Hastings last night. Mr. A. I. Rainbow presided over a good attendance of memebrs. The report and statement of finances as already published were adopted. The following officers and committee were elected for the ensuing year: -—President, Mr. W. C. Whitlock; vice-presidents Messrs. J E. Lane. T. Donovan, J. Holdsworth, and Dr. H. M. Wilson; hon. auditor, Mr. A. I. R<ainnbow; hon_ secretary aiTiT treasurer. Mr. T. F. Pickett; committee. Messrs. A. E. O’Meara, C. Golding. A. I. Rainbow, H. Noell, D. BakerGabb, and R. M. Egan; representative on the Acclimatisation Society. Mr. A. I. Rainbow. It was decided to hold the McCormick Cup competition during the firsti week in November, provided the rivers are satisfactory. A vote of thanks to the secretary and treasurer for his services concluded the meeting.
