(By “Trenton.”) The Napier Park Racing Ciub’s Spring Meeting will be held to-morrow, when a capital day’s sport should result. The ciub tor a considerable time past has had an exceedingly run of bad luck, and it is to be hoped that the fixture to-morrow will be patronised and serve to be the forerunner of a most successful season. There is a splendid field in the Trial Hack. 6 furlongs, and probably Kaliikatea will be the popular choice, although Kaotane and The Linnet will also command a lot of support. The race should provide one of the best contests of the day. There are a few new aspirants to the game in the Greenmeadows Hack Hurdles, If miles, but of the whole of those engaged Woden and Raffles should command most respect. Toa Taua and Black Art should also run prominently. The Prince of Wales Stakes. 5 furlongs, appears to be very open, and of the eight engaged perhaps Simonette and Mountain Bell will be the most favoured. The big race, the Park Stakes, miles, has an acceptance of nine, with Admiral Codrington at the head of affairs with 9.0 This weight will about anchor him. Anomaly, 8.13, reads well, and so does Heather Sprig, 8.9, and Bonnetter. 8.1 Anomaly will no doubt go out favourite. Communicate, Viyella and Uleaborg should run prominently in the Ahuriri Hack, 6 furlongs, and Matatua should be a pronounced favourite in the Taradale Hurdles, miles, closely followed by Wamba. In the Railway Handicap Morose has a great chance, and Ad Astra is also well in. Comical, Suspicion, and Slave Mart should be the best supported in the County Hack. GOLT CHAMPIONSHIP. MRS WILLIAMS HOLDS THE TITLE DEFEAT OF MISS BELL. Wanganui, Sept. 28. The New .Zealand ladies’ golf championship meeting was concluded to-day, when in glorious weather and before a large number of spectators, Mrs Guy Williams won from Miss Bell, five up and four to play. Mrs Stewart; best gross score, Mrs Williams (85); Donnelly Cup, M>ss Blonifield and second division prize; Mellsop Cup, Mrs Guy Williams; Rai tray Cup, Miss Culing; Teams’ Match. Wellington Club, champion, Mrs Wil liams; runner-up, Miss Bell. The tournament has been a decided success. The weather, almost without exception, was delightful, and the links in splendid order, which evoked tributes from all the visitors. THE PRINCE PLAYS WELL. London, Sept. 26. The Prince of Wales at St. Andrew’s played Boothby. the retiring captain, woh gave the Prince a stroke a hole. An excellent game ensued, the Prince losing by a hole.
