The Disarmament Committee accepted Mr. Mark Sheldon’s motion urging tho nations to adhere to the Washington Treat?’ against the use of asphyxiating gas and submarines with an addition, moved by Colombia’s delegate, against seizure or destruction of merchant vessels. The Assembly adopted committee’s report on traffic in women and children, recommending advisor?’ committees to enquire into the abolition of the system of State regulation and prostitution. The Assembly increased the nonpermanent members of the Council from four to six.—(A. and N.Z.)
