DOMINION DAY GAMES. Public Service (16) v. Banks and Law (3). The annual contest between teams representing the Public Service and Banks and Law tooK place yesterday afternoon on McLean Park, whqn a thoroughly good game was witnessed. In the first spell play was even, a try by McLeod for Public Service being the only points scored. In the second spell Banks and Law evened matters per the medium of White, who kicked a penalty goal. The Service held the upper hand from then onwards, and McLeod scored two more tries both or which Anderson converted. This player also kicked a penalty. The final score was: Service 16 Banks and Law 3. Mr. W. McKenzie refereed. Petone79) v. Napier (5). The Petone and Napier railway workshops teams tried conclusions on McLean Park yesterday afternoon. Napier led by 5 points to 2 at half-time, but in the second half Petone put in a strong challenge, and near the end scored two tries, which were not converted. Mr. E. B. McKechnie held the whistle. SCHOOL MATCH. New Plymouth. Sept. 25. The New Plymouth High School defeated Nelson College here to-day by 47 points to nil. T lie School gave a brilliant exhibition, especially the backs, and completely outclassed the visitors. School scored eleven tries, seven being converted. Brown, the School captain, scored three tries and converted seven.
