The tote handled £56,652 10s, making £115,522 IDs for the two days, against £128,474 10s last year. The following are the concluding results: — Steeplechase.—Signature 1, Polthogue 2. Tenacious 3. Won by a neck. Time 6.15. President’s Handicap.—Killashandra 1, Dovelet 2, Callaghan 3. Won by a neck. Time 1.14 1-5. New Lynn Handicap.- Bitholia 1, Marble Bell 2, Pentegram 3. Won by a langth. Time 1.55. Nihotopu Handicap.—Kilreid 1, Fort Regal 2, Canowindra 3. Won by five lengths. Time 1.54. OTAKI MEETING. Otaki. Sept. 25. The Otaki meeting concluded to-day. The tote handled £38,917 for the meeting, against £51,516 last year. An enquiry into the running of Mungakino resulted in Nixon (jockey), Morse (trainer) and the horse being disqualified for twelve months under rule one part 32 of the rules of racing.
