HAVELOCK NORTH. CONFIDENCE IN SITTING MtaUiEHS. RECORD J'OLLING. Public confidence in the administration oi the la to Town Board wag shown yesterday in no unmistakable manner in the return by substantial majorities of the whole oi the members of that board. Mr. J. H. Joll heads the poll with 393 votes, Mr. H. A. Moaftnan 302, Mr. J. J. Ninon 268. Mr. L. T. Cooper 255, Mr. J. Phillips 245. Mr. P. J. Sefton, 244, Mr, 8. Graham being the new memebr in the place of Mr. E. C. Clarkson, with 126 votes. These w’ere duly declared elected by the returning officer, Mr. W. H. Complin, at 8.45 p.m.. before a very large audience, which commenced to assemble about 7 p.m. The complete return are as follow:—. J. H. Joll 303 H. A. Mossman 302 A. J. Nimon 268 * L. T. Priest 56 Informal 12 After the announcement of the poll Messrs. J. H. Joll. H. A. Mossmajh, J. J. Nimon, S. Graham, and J. D. Heenan returned thanks. Mr. Graham calling for three cheers for the defeated candidates, which were heartily given. , • Mr. E. C. Clarkson the late chairman. took the opportunity oi addreasing those present, and stated he was pleased with the result of the election. as it showed the public appreciated the work done by the late board. The village throughout the day was a busy place, the many cars flying about bringing the electors to the poll making quite a stir. Keen interest had been aroused by the publication of correspondence, election addressee, and sporting notes by “Fitchange” in these columns, the latter creating much amusement and keeping people busy guessing as to the identity of the writer of the notes. Out of a total roll number of 573 electors 396 recorded their votes, and there were 12 informal papers. TARADALE. FIVE SITTING MEMBERS RETURNED. A great deal of interest was taken yesterday in the election of seven commissioners to the Tffradale, Town Board, to hold office for the next two years. The township was all astir (hiring the day. and keen interest was taken in the pall, which was a heavy one. The rsult was made known at 9.30. Of the seven candidates five are members of the old board. Messrs. McNeill and Millar lieing the new members. The election resulted as follows, the first seven constituting the new board :— F. O.
