LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
N.S.W. DEFEAT AUCKLAND. Auckland, Sept. 20. The New South Wales League team played the Auckland province in perfect weather before an attendance of 6000. Wales were slightly superior owing to the more complete combination of the backs. The Auckland forwards played well in combined efforts. The scores, 21 to 20 in favour of Wales, represent the respective merits of the teams.
