HAWKE’S BAY CHAMPIONSHIPS AND TOURNAMENT. The Hawke’s Bay golf championships and annual Napier tournament were commenced yesterday on the Waiohiki links in ideal weather. Some good scores were put up and to-mor-row’s and Friday’s matches should be oi an interesting character. H.B. CHAMPIONSHIP. The following qualified for the championship, their scores for the two rounds being shown:— Ist 2nd Tl.

HANDICAP MEDAL ROUND. The handicap medal round played in conjunction with the qualifying rounds was won by F. H. Oliver. The scores shown are the net scores only:— F. H. Oliver 150, E. C. Smith 154, L. S. McClurg 154, R. J. Harrison 158, R. D. Kettle 158 H. E. Crosse 159, C. Riddell 159, R. W. Kebbell 160, W. E. Knight 160, C. D. Kennedy 160, H. G. Davies 160. PUTTING COMPETITION.
