ARBITRATION COURT.

Wellington, September 18. Prior to the resumption of the watersiders’ dispute in the Arbitration Court, fixtures for the rest of the week were reviewed. His Honour announced that the printing trade disputes would be taken on Wednesday. On Thursday, September 28, if the engineers come to an arrangement before then, the wool, hide, and grain case would come on. Tlie representatives of the moulders and boilermakers indicated that probably a complete agreement would now be possible in the Conciliation Council. His Honour said he was very glad io hear that. There appeared to be more indication that conciliation would again be agreed upon now that things were settling down. The Court hoped to have the six months cost of living figures in the course of a few weeks. These would no doubt be a. great help. The Court would shortly be going to Auckland, and would be back in Wellington about the end of October, preparatory to going to Napier. They would not be long in Wellington, but it would be possible to take the hotel workers’ case then. The engineers’ case would be fixed for September 28, but the Court was agreeable to it being postponed if both sides agreed to some other arrangement. The Auckland sittings would commence on October 9.
