PUKETAPU.

(Own Correspondent.) A most enjoyable dance in aid of the sports funds was held in the Puketapu Hall last night. In spite of the threatening weather about thirty couples tripped the light fantastic to the harmonising strains of the Moteo Maori Orchestra. The supper arrangements were in the capable hands of a ladies’ committee under Mrs. F. S. Burns, and an excellent repast was provided. The duties of M.C. were efficiently performed by Mr. F. Tong, who kept the programme moving briskly. Dancing was continued until the early hours of the morning.
