HAWKE’S BAY SHOW.

Although the Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Society’s Spring Show does not take place until 18th and 19th October, intending exhibitors arc reminded that all entries (other than schools which close on 20th September) close on 4th October, and those who have not yet received a copy of the schedule should do so without delay, from either the secretary, Tennyson street, Napier, or Mr F. C. Wilkinson, Queen street, Hastings. Since the issue of the schedule the society has been donated a challenge cup for most points in the Farmers’ Fat • Sheep and Lamb Section. Also, a sliver medal donated by the Clydesdale Horse Society of New Zealand, which has been allotted for the best yearling or two year-old filly in the Draught Horse Scctio.n, and an additional £2 2s first and £1 Is second prize for waggon team in the Working Draught Section. The attention of Hawke’s Bay lucerne growers is drawn to the Lucerne Growing Competition included in this year’s schedule, open to crops one year old and over, grown on alluvial land and on not alluvial land throughout Hawke’s Bay, to be judged in January, 1923. These competitions have proved of great benefit to growers in other parts and as tho judge favites all interested to be in artendance during. when he will give a demonstration, it is hoped that entries will bo received from throughout the province. The Maize Growing Competition is again included.
