FIRE IN CHRISTCHURCH.

FACTORY BURNS FURIOUSLY. Christchurch, September 14. Fire completely gutted the twostoried floor polish factory of Messrs. Janies Harrison and Sons, in the city. Tlie contents of the building consisted of benzine turpentine, wax. and other inflammable materials, and burned furiously , and there were violent explosions at regular intervals. The fire, which was stopped spreading hy brick walls on either side, originated through floor polish materials which were being mixed over a tiro suddenly igniting. Norman Harrison, who was superintending the work, covered with flames, rushed into the street and rolled in the gutter to extinguish then). The insurances are not obtainable.
