WANGANUI J.C. MEETING. Wanganui, Sept. 14. The Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting opened to-day in fiiv? weather and with a good attendance. Results :— Putiki Hack.—Mark Timo 1, Bonibrook 2, Vindictive. Scratched: Empyrean. Won by a length, two lengths separating second and third horses. Time. 1.51 4-5. Mark Time failed to draw the weight in the Putiki Hack Race and Bonibrook was placed first. Vindictive second and Santiago third. Maiden Race. —Blush 1, Pillage 2. Haygina 3. All started. Won by half a length, a neck separating second and third horses. Time 1.17. Okehu Hurdles—Otaura Kid 1, Whizz 'Bang 2, Spook 3. Scratched: Whipcord. Won by two lengths, a length and a half separating second and third horses. Time, 3.16 4-5. Hack Steeplechase—Tatton Park 1, Ringi 2, The Baronet 3. Scratched: Naughty and Gold Tips. Won by several lengths. ST. LEGER RESULT. London, Sept. 13. The Saint Leger resulted :—Royal Lancer 1, Silurian 2, Ceylonese 3. Won by two lengths.
