LAWN TENNIS.
NELSON PARK ANNUAL. The annual meeting of the Nelson Park Tennis Club was held last evening, when Mr. K. O’Halloran presided over a small attendance of members. It was decided to affiliate with the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association and enter teams for the Neal and Close Cup competitions. The usual set of rules was adopted. The following subscription rates were fixed: —Adults 30s, junior under 18 years 15s, where two in a family 12s (id, where three 10s. No person of good repute shall he debarred from joining the club without the consent of the council until the membership of the club exceeds 25 members per court. There will be four courts available for play at the beginning of the sea. son and eight towards the close of the same. The following office bearers were elected: —President, His Worship the Mayor; vice-presidents, members of the Napier Borough Council; committee, Messrs K. O’Hallorap, R. W. Hannaford and P. Lewis, Misses L. McDonald, H. Rolls and M. M. Mailey; secretary, Mr. J. McNeece; treasurer, Mr. E. W. T. Brooks. Votes of thanks were accorded last season’s officials.
