BUTTER AND CHEESE. Wellington, Sept. 13. The National Daiy Association has received the following cable from their London office, dated September 9th:— Butter and cheese: 1 mproved demand for New Zealand 212 s to 2145; Australian 204 s to 2(M>s; Danish 220 s to 2225; cheese, white 93s to 94s ; coloured 86s to 88s. WAIPUKURAU STOCK SALE. The stockbrokers held their weekly sale at Waipukurnu yesterday to a good attendance of buyers. A good yarding of cattle came forward, but there was a small entry of sheep. Good forward bullocks were in demand and sold readily under the hammer. There was also a keen demand for all classes of sheep. The following prices were realised:—Fat bullocks £6 to £7 15s, fat cows £4 to £5 10s, 4yr forward bullocks £5 l()s to £6 Is, 3yr do. £4 18s to £5 13s fid, 2yr do. to £4, heifers in calf to £3 17s 6d, fat ewes to 21s 3d, ewes witN lambs at foot 30s 2d to 33s 6d, ewe hoggets 22s 3d, wether hoggets to 18s, 2th wethers to 24s Id.
