FATHER TO HAVE THE CHILD. Wellington, Sept. 12. In the Salsman case the Appeal Court decided that in the best interests of the child it should be'given into the custody of the father, and the appeal was dismissed with costs on the lowest scale. [The appeal was against the judgment of Mr. Justice Hosking of issuing a writ of habaes corpus directing Marjorie Salaman to bring her child before the Court. The real contest between the parties was whether it would bo for the child’s welfare that it should be removed from the mother’s custody]
