Vogue and Militaire covered half a mile together in 52 secs. Rapine did the same distance in 51 3-5. Vindictive in 53 2-5, Wrangle in 52 2-5, Empryrean in 53, Haurangi m 50,’ V lyella and Taipairu together in 50 2-5, Ballymena and Blush together in 50 2-5, Civilform 52 2-5. Gasbag beat King’s Trumpeter over five furlongs in 1.4 2-5. Beilina and Pluto took 1.5 and Urgency also took 1.5. Gold Star and Snatcher did the same distance in 1.4/ Winning Hit and Trierirain ran six furlongs in 1.19. Enthusiasm, Equitable and Tame Fox finished in that order over six furlongs in 1.18. Prosperity was better than Matatua over seven furlongs in 1.33, Rada, Merry Ann and Lady Nassau taking 1.33 3-5 for the same distance, Kinsem 1.33 2-5. Admiral Codrington covered a mile in J .44 4-5. Eerie was scratched at 11.30 a.m. yesterday for the Spring Handicap. RE-HANDICAPS.
