LEAGUE OF NATIONS.

MANDATED REPORTS. London, Sept. 12. The Australian Press Association’s correspondent at Geneva states that Mr. Justice Rich (Australia) was present at the meeting of the constitutional committee, which remitted the mandated reports to a sub-committee comprising representatives of all the mandatory Powers. Because Dr. Nansen (Norway) was the author of the resolution he will be chairman of the sub-committee. Dr. Nansen informed the press that the object of the resolution was to take the matter out of the Council’s hands and transfer it to the Assembly for the purpose of ensuring discussion when the committee submits its report.—(A. and N.Z.)
