LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Dal get v and Co., Ltd., Napier, have received the following cablegram from their head office, London, dated Bth September, 1922:— Wool sales continue firm and active, with brisk competition. As compared with last sales’ closing rates, scoured merino wools 10 per cent, higher; greasy merino wools, 10 per cent, higher; greasy crossbred wools, fine quality, 10 per cent, higher; better descriptions of greasy crossbred wools, medium quality, 10 per cent, higher; average sorts greasy crossbred wools, medium quality, 5 per cent, higher. ; good even greasy crossbred wools, coarse, 5 to 7 J percent, higher; shabby greasy crossbred, coarse, unchanged; scoured crossbred wools, fine quality, 10 per cent, higher; slipe fine crossbred, 10 per cent, higher; scoured crossbred wools, coarse, 5 per cent, higher; slipe coarse crossbred, 5 per cent higher. The H.B. Farmers’ Co-op. Assn., Ltd., have received the following cabled advice from their London office: Wool, coarse inferior, better demand; other descriptions, 5 per cent, dearer. BUTTER AND CHEESE. The New Zealand and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date, Bth instant: New Zealand butter.—2l2s to 216 b per cwt. Market firm. Cheese.—B4s to 92s per cwt. Market firm.
