FRENCH SEAMEN'S STRIKE.
AGAINST TWELVE HOURS DAY. (Received 12, 8.45 a.m.) Paris, Sept. 11. The French Seamen’s Union decide!! to strike for 23 hours, as a protest against extension of the working day to 12 hours. By limiting the strike to 23 hours the union escapes the penalties.—(A. and N.Z.)
