DARING BANK ROBBERY.

FORGED CABLE IN CIPHER. London, Sept. 10. A daring fraud has been perpetrated on the London branch of the Guaranty Trust Company. The New York branch received a cable from China instructing the transfer of £32,000 to a man in London. The message was in the bank’s own special cipher. The money was paid and the fraud was not discovered until advices showed no confirmation of the cablegram. When the culprit got the money he cabled it back to China in two separate accounts. The bank has succeeded in recovering £15.000. The ringleaders of the gang of operators has since been heard of in Camftla.—(A. and N.Z.)
